about

After four albums as Noisedelik, “Structures” is Massimo Olla’s first release under his own name. Put aside his moniker, Olla is taking a new path with the stated goal to get maximum results with minimum sound resources, i.e. household objects and self-built instruments. Three elements (wood, plastic, metal) release their energies that turn into sound waves if treated and excited as if having sex, giving shape to seven structures, seven movements, seven episodes, seven journeys, seven dreams, seven nightmares, seven abstract compositions, seven experiments, seven paintings without canvas, seven movies without film, seven books without pages, seven days, seven ...

Massimo Olla was born in Cagliari, Italy, in 1964.
Despite being into unusal and leftfield sounds and music since his youth, only in 2010 he started experimenting with self built instruments.
His research in instrument building led him to create the [d]Ronin Custom Shop, named after his signature instrument, the [d]Ronin, an acoustic-electric array of strings, springs and metal plates that soon became appreciated and used by experimental musicians worldwide, including the likes of FM Einheit and Eraldo Bernocchi.
Between 2012 and 2016 with his solo project Noisedelik he released four album and collaborated with several musicians and bands, among them Dream Weapon Ritual, Gianluca Becuzzi, Magnetica Ars Lab & Maurizio Bianchi, Svart 1, sc9, Moreno Padoan, Paolo Bandera, Lyke Wake and Uncodified.
In 2015 with Simon Balestrazzi he created the band Hidden Reverse. The duo plays mostly on Olla's self built instruments and has released a limited edition tape while a new CD album is due on AZOTH by November 2017.
In 2017 he released “RedruM”, a collaboration album with Gianluca Becuzzi.
